Prizes: We will have a first, second, and third place winner. The prizes are: 1st place: $20 worth of merchandise from the store Essence of Twilight for free, and the chance to record with the first place winner from last year's Battle of the Twilight Bands, Zenith! 2nd place: First pick of two special, one of a kind wallpapers (one signed by Stephenie Meyer, the other signed by Robert Pattinson). The 3rd place winner will get the wallpaper that the 2nd place winner doesn't choose. 3rd place: A special, one of a kind wallpaper with either Stephenie Meyer or Robert Pattinson's signature, depending on what the 2nd place winner chooses. Along with the prizes above, all three winners will also get a banner award that they can post on their website, Facebook, MySpace, etc. to declare that they were a winner in the Battle of the Twilight bands. They will also get publicity galore! The winners and their songs will be posted on our home page (which gets an average of 4000 views a day) for two weeks, will be added to our Twilight songs list, and will be sent to dozens of other Twilight fansites, including Stephenie Meyer's official site. We will even make a CD with the three winning songs and send it to Stephenie Meyer! How To Enter: The contest is open to all Twilight fans, whether single song writers or full fledged bands. To enter, you first need to write a Twilight song. It can be about anything as long as it is relatable to the Twilight saga in some way. Then e-mail your song to us at  Your song can be in any format (i.e. WMA, WAV, MP3) or you can make a video to go with your song and send us your music video (i.e. WMV, MPG, MOV). If your song is on YouTube, which we highly recommend (see next paragraph), then you can just send us a link to your video. This year we have a few changes to the contest, and one of them is that all entered songs will go on YouTube. By sending us your song and not having it on YouTube, please note that you are also giving us permission to post your song/music video on YouTube ourselves. We'll say in the video's description that the song is copyright property of yours. This is so that more people will have easier access to your song during voting. With your song, you must also include in your e-mail your name or your band's name (band's must also include the names of all the band members), the state/country you live in, and the lyrics to your song. We will be accepting entries until November 9th. But instead of immediately posting the list of songs for all the Twilight fans to vote on, we're going to do the contest American-Idol style (another change to this year)! The entire staff of Edward's Meadow will review all the songs and pick their favorite one. On November 11th, each member of our staff will post a review about their favorite song along with the poll where all Twilighters can vote for their own favorites (the reviews don't choose the winners, but gives fans suggestions on who they may want to vote for. Think of it as honorable mentions for our favorites). Voting will end on November 25th. The votes will be added up, and the winners will be chosen! Additional Rules: *You CANNOT send in a song written by someone else. The song MUST be your original work. *You can only submit one song. *If you won the Battle of the Twilight Bands last year, then you can't enter again this year. Sorry, but more Twilight bands and song writers need a chance to win. *If you entered last year's Battle of the Twilight Bands but did not win, then you can enter again this year, BUT you must enter a different song.
